notes |
Originally Nostrand Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church.
A brick body with milky Tiffany-style stained glass is crowned with timbered gables-part of the second Gothic Revival, Shingle and Stick Style division. These were Romantic times, before a third round of Gothicism became Academic: the literalism of Ralph Adams Cram and the Collegiate Gothicists after 1900. |
