Two complex, asymmetrical, octagonal spires of this, the largest Polish Catholic congregation in Brooklyn, dominate the local skyline, Humboldt Street and Driggs Avenue are here renamed Lech Walesa Place and Pope John Paul II Plaza with the fervency that only a monolithic local ethnic population can supply. |
