Gift & Gadgets
House gifts and decadent treats abound in these seven floors of serenity: tabletop accessories, vintage furniture, and bath and bedroom products—everything from elegant sake bowls (from $58) and silk robes ($195–$2000) to necklaces and earrings by Gabriella Kiss ($700–$4,000). The basement tea salon is heavenly.

Cosmetics
On the top floor of this Japanese shopping palace, beauty addicts stock up on carefully picked ultra-high-enders, including La Base fragrances ($125 to $190) and color and skin care from Babor (from $16).

Kitchen & Tableware
Takashimaya’s exotic-chic settings are as elegant as any we’ve seen. Start with the Limoges five-piece place setting with signature glazes ($230–$630) and a five-piece set of flatware ($155–$395). Add a set of buffalo-horn salt and pepper cellars ($48 each) for a table that’s the envy of all your friends.

Flowers & Garden
With a new fusion of contemporary French and Japanese style, the arrangements (from $100) have a lot of color and flair. We got a gorgeous arrangement of deep-pink peonies and magenta calla lilies with bamboo shoots and orchids.
