notes |
Regiment Armory/originally Union Grounds, The Harrison Avenue end is a squat fort: double clerestoried, with crenellated and machicolated corner towers. The Union Grounds were the site of early baseball games in the 186os, between the Cincinnati Red Stockings, the Philadelphia Athletics, the New York Mutuals, and the Brooklyn Eckfords. |
