Situated on the west side of the Reservoir near 86th Street stands the beautiful West 86th Street Reservoir Bridge. Supported by stone abutments located deep beneath the ground it allows visitors to cross over the bridle path. This gently curved cast-iron bridge has floral scrolls above the arch and a railing that emulates interlacing leaves and spiral formations. The posts have tops in the shape of modified urns. The foot path is constructed out of wood.
