Second Empire Baroque

The Second Empire Baroque style (1860-1880) was of French origin, particularly influenced by the additions to the Louvre in the 1850s by Visconti and Lefuel and the Paris Opera by Charles Garnier. The style was used for public and residential architecture, and was particularly influential in Boston.
